Happy Birthday Elise!

Elise Huard celebrated her 100th birthday on Friday, August 30, 2012. Elise and her late husband Eugene (Moe) joined the Sportsmen Yacht Club in 1950 and were very active for many years.

One of the things Elise wanted to do while on this Earth was to Skydive. Well, she came pretty close as the certificate above attests; she took a turn at In-Door Skydiving. For someone who bowled 'til age 95, this was all in a day's fun.

Elise enjoyed the musical birthday card signed by many of the Sportsmen members.

Lonnie, with his colleagues from the California Medical Facility at Vacaville, celebrated retirement after 34 years with the California Department of Corrections. Lonnie worked as a Dental Lab Technician, responsible for making dental appliances.

Pat Sebers came to the party, equipped with the largest mobile smoker on the planet. In addition to his usual great ribs, we also enjoyed smoked salmon, chicken, steak and who knows what else...

Everyone had wonderful food and a great time.

November  2010

Jim Dawson, Fisherman Extraordinaire!

If the prize is for the biggest fish caught, Jim will usually catch it. If the target is a 38 1/4" fish as was the case in the Mike "Pogo" Pereira Stripped Bass Derby of 2010, Jim found it and won the $1K first prize. Congratulations Jim...
