What does it take to become a Life Member of Sportsmen Yacht Club? Well, it's pretty easy; all you have to do is hang out for 30 years and be at least 62 years old.

At the June 2005 general meeting, two SYC members were awarded Life Memberships:  Tom MacLean and Al Fonseca. Al was not able to attend the meeting so he will receive his award at a later date.

Gary Reopelle received his Life membership award at the February 2005 meeting. Gary has been a member since 1963, 42 years, but did not qualify due to being under age until 2005. (When was the last time any of us were "too young?")

Commodore Dawson presented the award.

Bill Worrell received his Life award from Commodore Dawson in January 2005. Bill has been a member for 43 years, but was also too young (until now).
