Once upon a time, some Sportsmen decided they were hungry. It would be dinner time soon. So, they set out to go fishing and since they were in Mexico, they would fish for tuna! After all, this is what true Sportsmen do!

There seemed to be a problem with what they brought onboard because the fish they reeled in didn’t have any “fight” in them. “Easy peazy,” the Sportsmen thought! But then they noticed a similar problem among all their catch-they were as though they had been petrified. And, to make matters worse, there was nothing inside. That meant no tuna for dinner!

Jim, having been Commodore of the Sportsmen last year, knew he had to come up with a solution. After all, what good is a Past Commodore if he can’t solve this “Sportsmen” problem? When they came back ashore, Jim told the group, “I’ll be right back!” Off he went to find a solution to their dilemma. He found a local fisherman who had the answer and just “happened” to have exactly what was needed. Jim bartered with the fisherman and finally struck a price that he could afford and seemed somewhat fair. Look below to find out his solution!

Jim Dawson won the poker tournament on Friday night.

The event was organized by Ferris Anthony and was a
great success despite of the not-so-great weather.
There were 60 anglers competing for the winning sturgeon.
It is hoped that, barring any possible regulatory ban on Sturgeon
fishing, this event will become a regular annual event.
